Biography
Dr. Huang is a professor in the Department of Energy and Refrigerating Air-Conditioning Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech). He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA in 1993. Prior joining the Taipei Tech, he worked as Section Chief in the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan, and was in charge of developing advanced, critical multidisciplinary technologies, Integrating R&D of Industry, government, and academia, and promoting/enhancing product values. He facilitated and established the “Small Business Innovation Research Program†and “Industrial Technology Development Program†to boost Taiwan economy and to build solid R&D foundation for industry. He joined Taipei Tech in 1999 and has advised about 70 postgraduates with 1 book and 80 papers published, and 12 patents released, and had won more than 10 different awards in his innovation and research achievement nationwide or worldwide. He also actively severs as government committee members for the Public Construction Commission of Executive Yuan, the Energy Technology Program of Energy Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Industry Technology Research Institute Foundation, the Taiwan association of ventilation equipment standards, and the Construction and Planning Agency of Ministry of the Interior.
Research Interest
Prof. Huang’s research interests are mainly in Thermal-Fluids Engineering, Renewable Energy, Heat Transport in Porous Medium, Computer-aided-design of turbomachinery, and Refrigerating and air-conditioner, but not limited.
